Sketches
When words aren't enough, draw it
Some things are hard to put into words — where a new window goes, which part of the roof to change, the outline of an extension. Instead of describing it, draw it. Open the sketch editor, draw right on a photo of your house, and the design follows your marks. You don't need to draw well; rough marks are enough.
What to draw
The sketch works together with your words, so use the brief or prompt for the intent and the sketch for the place.
- Draw an arrow or circle to point to the exact spot you mean
- Outline a new shape — an extension, a porch, a different roofline
- Mark what to add, remove, or change, then add a short note to explain it
A sketch belongs to one view
Every sketch is tied to a single view of your house — you choose which one when you draw it; it is not applied to everything at once. You can add a sketch in two places, and both attach it to the view you pick: from the Brief, by drawing on one of your house photos, or from a design's settings as a control sketch for the view you are working on.
